I have been continuing my education at MATC part time for the past couple of years in the IT field. Initially I was going through the networking program, but decided that I wanted to go into the programming analyst program instead. I grew interest in the programming world when I started learning about what type of work my mom did. She is a program tester and she always brought me around her job so I was able to meet first hand with all sorts of different careers in the IT field.
I haven't been fortunate enough to have a job in the IT field just yet, but I enjoy technology as a side hobby. I love learning about the latest technology and gadgets. I currently work at a logistic company and my job has a lot of data entry duties, and working with specialized programs. I find it interesting because I have learned how to fix the kinks in our work system and have started a close relationship with our IT department. I am hoping to move into our IT department at some point once I feel comfortable with everything and I know that continuing my education at MATC will help me prepare for that transition.
